Part-Time Physical Therapist – Outpatient Orthopedics (Boone, NC)
Coverage Needed: April 1–24 (option to extend)
Overview
Optimal Performance Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and independent Physical Therapist to provide outpatient orthopedic coverage during a scheduled vacation period from April 1 through April 24. Additional weeks are available if desired. 20-30 hours a week is available in the short-term. In the longer term, up to 40 hours a week is available.
This role is ideal for a therapist who enjoys autonomy, values one-on-one patient care, and is comfortable working solo with strong remote support from the owner and office manager.

Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, individualized outpatient orthopedic care.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions focused on recovery, mobility, and pain reduction.
- Complete daily SOAP notes and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Educate patients on home programs, self-management strategies, and long-term wellness.
Requirements
- Active North Carolina Physical Therapist license or eligibility for reciprocity.
- Strong background in orthopedics.
- Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Commitment to patient-centered, one-on-one care.
