Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience to join our neonatal therapy team at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA.
We provide NICU therapy services in our 20-bed Level III NICU and, as needed, for infants on the Mother-Baby unit. In our NICU, world-class care meets compassion to nurture and support our tiniest patients and their families through critical early moments. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by highly trained specialists including 24/7 board-certified neonatologists, we are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care.

How you will make an impact
• Providing education and counseling to families regarding treatments and goals, potential safety risks and/or other issues within scope of practice.
• Providing education to NICU staff on new developmental care and treatment techniques.
• Evaluating developmental and oral motor skills as well as making recommendations for post-discharge follow up.
• Educating parents in providing developmentally appropriate care during their infant's NICU journey through discharge home.
• Documenting all evaluations, treatment, and coordination of care contacts via appropriate facility policies through EMR (EPIC) software.
• Independently managing own case load to maximize effectiveness of overall care plan.
• Comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and requirements, as well as facility/agency specific policies and procedures.
• Supporting special projects and other designated activities as assigned in support of TAI’s mission and core values.
• Work effectively with nursing staff and physicians.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by your leadership.
What you will need to bring to the table
• 2+ years working with NICU infants as a Licensed Physical Therapist
• Active Physical Therapist license in CA, or ability to obtain licensure in the state.
• Having Neonatal Touch and Massage certification is a definite advantage.
• Commitment to top quality patient care.
• Must demonstrate eagerness to advance clinical skills and develop personal leadership excellence.
• Must be able to work an arranged schedule with flexibility according to NICU therapy needs

This is a hospital-based role focused on NICU care, with the potential to float to the adult Inpatient and Acute Rehab unit as desired to increase hours.
We pride ourselves on providing one-on-one patient care and maintaining strong relationships with our referral sources. This site offers clinical mentorship, access to two inpatient PT/OT gyms, and the opportunity to treat a wide range of diagnoses—including orthopedics, oncology, cardiac, and stroke. As an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, we also care for patients transferred in for higher-level treatment.

How we support you
Compensation rate: $54 to $55 per hour, depending on experience - $5 per hour weekend differential
