MINIMUM ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Evaluate and treat patients and complete appropriate documentation in a timely fashion
Supervise therapy technicians
Maintain agreed upon schedule and productivity standards
Comply with billing and documentation requirements and standards set by the practice
Provide home education materials to all patients through practice preferred software
Assist supervisor in daily operational duties as needed
Participate and help foster an environment of continued learning in our pursuit of clinical excellence
Communicate appropriately with physicians and their staff on patient care issues
Participate in professional development activities, continuing education, and maintain professional affiliations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral level degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university required
Minimum two years’ experience in a physician office or orthopedic setting (new graduates must demonstrate superior ability to perform through a clinical affiliation or by other comparable means)
Active Physical Therapy license in the state of Tennessee
Extensive training in orthopedic care and manual therapy preferred
Management experience preferred
Extensive knowledge in exercise physiology, biomechanics and exercise prescription
Ability to manage treatment of multiple patients, administer appropriate modalities and supervise technicians
Working knowledge of billing issues, CPT codes and basic knowledge of insurance related issues
Comfortable effectively using MS office programs such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
Great verbal and written communication
Neat and professional appearance
Able to maintain company legal and professional confidentiality requirements across employees, patients, and clients
