The Physical Therapist PRN plays a critical role in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to patients on an as-needed basis across various healthcare settings. Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state(s) of practice within the United States.
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in physical therapy practice.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a PRN capacity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in diverse clinical settings such as outpatient, inpatient, or home health environments.
- Additional certifications such as Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) or Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS).
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and locations as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine physical therapy needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to address patient impairments and functional limitations.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
- Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and timely in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and provide patient and family education on therapy goals and home exercise programs.
- Maintain compliance with all safety protocols, ethical standards, and organizational policies during patient care delivery.
