Direct Performance Physical Therapy is growing and hiring a Physical Therapist in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This position includes a sign-on bonus. Full-time is preferred, and new graduate PTs will receive comprehensive support through a structured mentorship program that includes weekly sessions, continuing education opportunities, and programming led by a dedicated mentorship program lead therapist.
About the Role
You will treat patients of all ages in a dynamic outpatient orthopedic setting with a focus on general orthopedics, active adults, and athletes. All patient care is one-on-one with no aides or assistants. Initial evaluations are one hour and treatment sessions are 40 to 45 minutes, with full-time PTs seeing an average of 40 to 44 patients per week. Clinicians have access to specialty services including dry needling, pelvic floor therapy, vestibular rehab, TPI golf assessments, and force plate testing. Monthly clinical education classes, unlimited CEUs, and real paths into clinic leadership and profit sharing are built into the practice as it scales.
Schedule
The clinic operates Monday through Friday with no weekend or major holiday requirements. Common schedule options include four 10-hour days per week, five 8-hour days per week, or four 9-hour days plus one 4-hour Friday. Clinicians choose the schedule that works best for them.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for a full-time position is $70,000 to $90,000 per year based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include a 401(k) with matching, health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a gym membership, and flexible scheduling.
Qualifications
A Doctor of Physical Therapy degree is required. Candidates must be eligible for Virginia state licensure as a Physical Therapist. Prior outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred. New graduate PTs are welcome and will be fully supported and mentored. Full-time availability of 40 hours per week is preferred. Part-time candidates with a minimum of 20 hours across two weekdays will also be considered. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
