The Physical Therapist is the team member responsible for evaluation and treatment of sensory or motor deficits that impair the patient's mobility or functional performance of gross motor activities. The staff P.T. is a member of the Acute Care Rehabilitation Dept. and is an integral component of the interdisciplinary medical team that strives to return the patient to his/her highest level of functional independence. The Staff Physical Therapist evaluates and treats all patients on assigned rotations, in addition to providing cross coverage of the department's other rotations and the Rehabilitation division's other locations (Dodd Outpatient/Inpatient, Stoneridge, OSU MC East), as need dictates. This position works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Manager. Position located at University Hospitals East.
Minimum Qualifications
All rehabilitation team members must be licensed and/or certified with the respective profession (physical therapy, and meet the educational and/or certification requirements established by their professions, physical therapists, must hold bachelor’s degrees). All academic degrees must have been granted from an accredited institution. All licensed professionals must be cleared through the National Database of Practitioners. Typically, one-two years experience working in a medical setting is preferred for all professionals hired.
