Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate, high-energy, and driven Physical Therapist (PT) to join our outpatient orthopedic team in Jacksonville, FL. Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat patients presenting with a wide variety of orthopedic, sports medicine, and post-operative conditions using evidence-based techniques.
Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive clinical assessments and patient goals.
Maintain a highly efficient workflow, managing an average of 1.5 patients per hour (~12 patients per day), with the ability to dynamically manage more than one patient at a time when required.
Collaborate closely with our in-house physicians, surgeons, and healthcare teams to deliver a unified continuum of care.
Document patient progress accurately, thoroughly, and punctually within our EMR system.
Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, post-operative protocols, and tailored home exercise programs (HEPs).
Participate actively in regular team meetings and contribute to clinical quality improvement initiatives.
Provide mentorship and guidance to PT students or newer staff members as needed.
Work Schedule
We value work-life balance and offer predictable schedules with no weekend rotations:
Option A: Four 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday) with one designated day off during the week. Note: To ensure fairness across the team, the designated weekday off rotates every 6 months.
Option B: Standard Monday through Friday shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited physical therapy program.
Licensure: Current Florida State Physical Therapist license (or eligibility/willingness to obtain prior to start date).
Experience: New graduates are highly welcome! Experience or strong clinical rotations in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred.
Clinical Skills: Strong manual therapy techniques and expertise in therapeutic exercise prescription.
Soft Skills: An outgoing, high-energy personality with an innate ability to connect with, inspire, and motivate patients.
Adaptability: A strong desire to excel specifically in a bustling outpatient orthopedic environment, including comfort with multi-patient management.
