Description
The Inpatient Physical Therapist will:
- Utilize the physical therapy process to deliver comprehensive patient care in an inpatient setting.
- Deliver comprehensive patient care in the Emergency Department and outpatient setting as needed.
- Carry out individualized programs that encompass assessment, treatment planning, implementation, education, and ongoing communication, all aimed at maximizing each patient's progress toward achieving functional goals.
- Evaluate patients recovering from surgery, trauma, or acute illness, creating tailored rehabilitation strategies to enhance mobility, strength, and overall functional independence.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, provide hands-on therapy and educate patients and their families on effective recovery techniques.
- Meticulously document patient progress and communicate with healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and optimal care within the unique challenges of a rural healthcare environment.
- Assists in the decision making for patient admission, discharge planning, and if further placement may be required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program. (preferred)
- Previous healthcare experience (preferred)
- Current Physical Therapist license in Vermont in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Salary Range: The base rate for this position is $38.80 - $53.00 per hour. The hourly range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The rate for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
