Physical Therapist – Full-Time | Lake Grove, NY 11755
Position Summary
EDU-AIDs is hiring a dedicated Physical Therapist for a full-time opportunity with one of our school district partners in Lake Grove, NY 11755. In this role, you will support students with a variety of physical and developmental needs by providing individualized therapy services that improve mobility, independence, and participation in the educational environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations to assess students' physical functioning, motor skills, strength, balance, and mobility.
- Design and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aligned with each student's educational goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to help students improve functional movement and participation in classroom and school activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and Child Study Team members to ensure coordinated student support.
- Maintain accurate treatment notes, progress reports, and other required documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations regarding students' physical therapy needs.
- Monitor student progress and modify intervention strategies as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Current New York Physical Therapist license in good standing.
- Previous experience providing physical therapy services in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.
