Position: Full-Time Physical Therapist

Setting: Itinerant (Multiple Campuses)

Grade Levels: Kindergarten–12th Grade

Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:30 AM–3:40 PM

Weekly Hours: 35 hours per week

Setting: Onsite

School Year Dates: August 10, 2026 – May 28, 2027
Caseload & Responsibilities
-
Manage an anticipated caseload of approximately 45 students
-
Provide school-based physical therapy services across multiple campuses
-
Support students with a variety of physical, motor, and mobility needs in both general and special education settings
-
Deliver direct therapy services designed to improve access, functional mobility, and participation in educational activities
-
Provide consultation to teachers, related service providers, and school staff
-
Develop accommodations and strategies that promote student independence and accessibility throughout the school environment

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations related to physical therapy services
-
Maintain timely documentation and monitor student progress toward individualized goals
-
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, student-centered care
Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a Physical Therapist who enjoys variety in their day and values collaboration. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple campuses and supporting students with a broad range of physical and mobility needs, from those receiving consultative services to students requiring more intensive intervention.
Qualifications

Active Illinois IDFPR Physical Therapy license required

Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) through ISBE required

Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred

Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Ability to travel between multiple school sites during the workday
Compensation & Benefits
