Description:
The physical therapist will assume autonomous responsibility for evaluating patient’s need for physical therapy. This will include the creation of treatment plans and the execution of those individual patient-based treatment programs in accordance with the State of Michigan Public Health Code Act 368 of 1978. The physical therapist will work cooperatively with other rehabilitation professionals including physical therapy assistants, rehabilitation technicians/aids, and athletic trainers in addition to the patient’s medical team to maintain standards of professional physical therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.
The physical therapist is responsible for the maintenance of their national certification, state licensure, and the necessary requirements for continuing education. The physical therapist is responsible to the service area manager and/or the designated site leader.
Hours | Schedule:
Day Shift, 9:30am - 6:00pm Monday - Friday
Weekend Coverage: Colleague will work one weekend every four weeks
Holiday Coverage: Colleague will work two holidays per calendar year
This position is based in the House Rehab Services department in Muskegon, MI and does provide physical therapy services on an as-needed basis at Shelby Hospital in Shelby, MI.
