OverviewPlumas District Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team. In this role, you will evaluate, plan, and provide Physical Therapy services for patients across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings in accordance with physician orders and state regulations.
Hiring Incentive
- $10,000 full time/ $5,000 part time
- $1,200/month relocation assistance for 3 months, if you do not currently have housing available within 35 miles of PDH and need to relocate to accept the offered position”
Responsibilities- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans by applying diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests.
- Treats injuries, manage chronic conditions, prevent future problems, improve physical function and educate patients to maximize and/or maintain their maximum level of independence.
- Records and reports to the physician the patient’s reaction to treatment and/or any changes in the patient’s condition as required/needed.
- Educates patients and their families in the use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.) and other necessary therapeutic equipment/devices.
- Attends rehabilitation center staff meetings and in-service presentations.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Active California Physical Therapy License (in good standing)
- Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
- Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Compliance with all California and federal PT regulatory requirements
Preferred Experience
- 1+ year experience in acute care, swing bed/skilled nursing, or outpatient settings
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage diverse patient populations and diagnoses
- Proficiency with computers and EMR systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
