Position Summary:ThePhysical Therapist (PT) evaluates the physical therapy needs of assigned patients,establishesgoals with the patient and plans, develops and implements individual physical therapy programs designed to improve patient mobility and independent function. The PT provides age and developmentallyappropriate caretopediatric to geriatricpatients. Effectively interacts with patients,doctorsand other healthcare members. Responsible for overseeingPTAas requested.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, treat,evaluateand implement a POC for all clients seen

Provides supportive supervision of PTA’s and PT / PTA students

Demonstrates understanding of admission process, treatment costs, coding, financialsupport & appropriate billing

Practices within the scope of APTA standards and Code of Ethics

Communicates and interacts with patients, families,physiciansand staffdemonstratingbehavior consistent with the hospital’s core values

Promotes a clean and safe environment of care,utilizingthe SAFE error prevention habits

Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct

Completes documentation of all patient care activitiesin a timely mannerin the electronic medical record.

Develop professional skills by defining and completingappropriate Developmentplans,participatingin continuing education and in-service offerings, using written resources to keep current with advancements in the field and seeks out resources with recognizedexpertisewithin and outside the Department to enhance quality of care.

Interpersonal skills are needed to communicate with other health care professionals andestablishtherapeutic relationships with patients and families.

Uphold professional standards and responsibilities by achieving service competence and applying evidence-based interventions to promote quality in practice.

Ability to transfer and position patients.

Includes Saturday and Sunday rotation work as applicable.

Required Qualifications:

Education and Training:

Completion of a Master’s or Doctorate degree program from an accredited college or university

Work requires the level of knowledgeacquiredby completing aMaster’sprogram in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university

Physical Therapists who earned a bachelor’s or master’s degree before the profession required a Doctoral degree are grandfathered in. These Physical Therapistsare not required toreturn to schooltocontinue practicing.Their licenses remain valid as long as they meet the current continuing education requirements.

Current CPR certificationrequired

Current license as a PhysicalTherapist fromthe State of Illinois

Work Shift Details:

Days, Level III: $52/hr weekdays, $55/hr weekends
requirements to work 2 weekend shifts/ month, 1 holiday/ year, 2 holiday weekend shifts/ year

Level IV: $55/hr weekdays, $58/hr weekends
requirements to work 4 weekend shifts/ month, 1 holiday/ year, 2 holiday weekend shifts/ year

The expected pay for this position is listed below:

$50.00 - $50.00

The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
